Jibonanda das er mama bari (জীবনান্দ দাস এর মামা বাড়ি)Dhanshiri river is a dream of our
natural’s poet Jibonanda das. Where from he made “I’ll come again to the bank
of Dhanshiri river in yhis Bangladesh” (আবার আসিব ফিরে ধানসিঁড়ি নদীটির তীরে এই বাংলায়. His father’s name is Sattyananda
dash, Mother’s name is Kushum kumara dash. His old home was Goupara, Bikrampur
but he born in Natun Bazar under Barisal on 17 Februari, 1899. Dhanshiri River
is located south point of Bangladesh that is Rajapur under Jhalokathi. In
British period, there was a route from
Barisal-Jhalokathi-Rajapur-Saturia-Kaokhali-Pirojpur-Khulna-Calcutta by
steamer
on this river. There was paddy field on the both side river. Near of this river
there are located of his uncle’s home. Poet came here with his mother in his
boyhood. Though he lived in Barisal with his parents but Uncle’s home was more
attractive by him. Here he enjoyed natural beauty of Dhanshiri River.
